I'm up in Merimbula at the moment with my girlfriend's family. It's been awesome weather up here, I've been surfing everyday. What have you been up to?

Good stuff Brett. Thats a good concept, using the Bible like a spiritual tool, not just story or a manual. See you tomorrow!

Not Completely
Treat the poor like the rich, be truthful and listen to God
Treat the bible as a spritual tool

Chocolate!!!!!!!!!! is coming your way next Sunday!
Good answers, I hope you can put them into practice :-)
For question 2 I had in mind the passage where James says that even the demons believe in God and shake. It's no good believing in God if it doesn't change the way we act (otherwise we should be shaking like the demons).

1) No it is not
2) To try to help the poor people, not just the rich
3) Try to use the bible as a tool, not a book

Good work guys. I think you together you guys have picked up an important distinction between testing and tempting. God definitely tests us in order to teach us what is right and to make us more like Jesus, just like he tested Abraham. However God doesn't tempt us, he will never try and make us do the wrong thing! It's our own ungodly desires and the devil that tempts us.
However, whether we are tempted or tested the response is the same, to call out to God for help and listen to what he says (by reading his word). Again, great work guys.
